I have been a print production professional for over 16 years. Up until my last position, I worked in the printing/prepress industry. I have extensive knowledge in commercial printing (from 2 color up to 8 color work). My last position was the Marketing Design Production Manager at WIRED Magazine. At WIRED I managed all vendor contacts, processing invoices from vendors and making sure that all print jobs were within budget. I also worked with 4 designers (2 in S.F. and 2 in New York) and trained them (if needed) in preparing files properly before handing them off to me.
I also attended all local press checks for the Marketing Design department.
I have extensive knowledge of all Creative Suites 2 programs. I use Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat on a regular basis at an expert level. Building mechanicals, die lines, retouching, and color correction are some of the things that I do best. I can work in RGB and CMYK color spaces.
