My name is Elizabeth Goodspeed. I relocated to the Bay Area from Southern California in 2000 to join the staff of the San Jose Mercury News, one of the Top 10 best designed newspapers in the country.
Surrounded by talented writers, editors and designers, I flourished there as a designer. In 2003, I joined the Features design team, where several of the sections I crafted won awards such as The Society for News Design 29th edition, Award of Excellence,14D; and the Lowell Thomas 2006-2007, Silver Award for Travel section. A Food & Wine section I designed also was a finalist for a James Beard Foundation award in 2006.
My style is all about clean, crisp, cohesive and elegant designs. I have a keen eye for typography. And I have a knack for recognizing all the little details that really make a design stand out.
I am extremely dedicated to my work. I would make a dependable and flexible member of any design team, one who is always reliable and never fazed by difficult deadlines or multiple demands.
