Position Summary: The Junior Graphic Designer will be a key-supporting role for the Creative Marketing Manager and the marketing team. This person will help bring marketing stories to fruition by helping them get from ideation and planning phases through to production. The person will be asked to work on a range of creative projects that include retail POP, internal marketing, online advertising, packaging, etc. They will also be asked to take an existing creative idea and stretch it across many platforms. In addition to creative work, this position will be our go to person for digital asset requests (logos, images, etc.), therefore be responsible for keeping our library organized and at the ready for our teams to use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Creative Marketing Manager and the guiderails of the Consumer Cellular brand books to create concepts, designs, and layouts based on principles of design. Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type. Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering necessary information and materials. Plans concepts by studying information and materials. Develop graphics for product illustrations and advertisements, internal company materials, and websites. Manage a calendar and workflow to meet deadlines and expectations, as well as attending scheduled meetings. Completes projects by coordinating with others on marketing staff, as well as with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. as needed. Manage our digital asset library; our go-to resource of images, illustrations, logos, etc. Maintains ongoing technical knowledge by reviewing professional trade publications, attending design workshops, participating in professional societies, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or other relevant professionally-related field 1-2 years design experience, preferably in consumer products/services. Proven ability to perform and apply design skills – including typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing, scale, visual presentation and layout. Expertise using creative software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and technology with ability to produce electronic files for production purposes. Creative talent, originality and a strong visual sense. Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to manage multiple work priorities; deadline-oriented. Presentation software (PowerPoint) abilities. Proactivity and resourcefulness. Attention to Detail. Pre-employment drug screen and background check is required.
