Graphic Designer/Desktop Publisher
The Clearing
The ideal candidate excels in both consulting and visual design skills, using a balance of both to solve client problems. S/he will be required to juggle multiple concurrent design projects and integrate the input of diverse stakeholders with limited supervision.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Initiate, develop, and/or finalize the designs for both print and digital projects (to include one-pagers, brochures, presentations, document templates, reports, handbooks/manuals, and executive briefings)
•Work directly with clients, both external and internal, to define scope of projects, identify design solutions, and gather design requirements
•Assess and manage overall workload, setting deadlines and controlling expectations
•Utilize both Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite to develop final products that appropriately meet end-user needs
•Turn drawings, text, and verbal communications into graphics that depict data, hierarchy, processes, conceptual ideas, etc.
•Rework existing design to increase comprehension, advance aesthetics, and/or apply up-to-date branding 
•Use text, graphics, and animation to incorporate interactive capabilities into design.
•Enhance proposals, assimilating complex messaging into clear and concise graphics, and formatting to ensure compliancy.
•Establish process and develop templates productizing purposes


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS ?
•Bachelor’s Degree in related field (graphic design, computer graphics, and/or information graphics) 
•4-6 years of relevant experience 
•Thorough knowledge of visual design principals including: grid systems, typography, color, and brand adherence
•High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
•High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint)
•Knowledge and practical application skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
