Graphic Design Instructor

Spokane Falls Community College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in the Graphic Design program.

SFCC is one of two accredited community colleges that comprise the Community Colleges of Spokane. Serving about 8,200 students, SFCC strives to be an educational leader and a responsive partner with the community and region to provide access to relevant programs of the highest quality. We offer a large liberal arts/transfer program (approximately 75% of total enrollment) as well as state-of-the-art professional technical programs (about 25%). We strive to embrace diversity, promote equity, and foster global awareness at every level of our college. 

SFCC's Graphic Design Program works closely with Spokane's vibrant design industry to produce graduates that are industry-ready. The two-year SFCC Graphic Design Program is an intensive course of study that prepares students for entry-level jobs in design studios, advertising agencies, interactive agencies, corporate in-house design departments and other businesses, or transfer to a four-year degree program. Teaching opportunities may include the following skill sets/subject areas: interactive media, video, animation, graphic design theory & process, photography, typography, and print design. 

The Graphic Design Program is part of the Applied Visual Arts Department, containing Photography, Journalism, and Interior Design, within the Division of Visual & Performing Arts, which also includes Fine Arts, Music, and Audio Engineering.
