The photographer/videographer’s is a key member of the creative team and their work will represent University of Puget Sound by producing consistent high-quality photographs and video to enhance Puget Sound’s visual identity according to established standards. They will do this with vision and creativity that reinforces the Puget Sound story. They will capture content that represents all aspects of the university, including student life; arts, lectures, and special events and receptions; faculty and academic work; athletic events and athletes; buildings and facilities; alumni; and more. They manage the digital asset library as well as a photo studio and provided equipment. The photographer/videographer is a primary contributor to Arches, a quarterly alumni magazine. This (full-time, exempt) position may have flexible hours at various times during the academic year due to evening and weekend events.


–Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or photography and/or professional training and experience preferred. 
–Minimum three years of experience as a professional photographer/videographer with online portfolio of work
–Demonstrated expertise in Adobe CC, especially Photoshop/Lightroom. Illustrator/Premier experience a plus.
–Experience shooting action sports, scenic/outdoors, and portraiture, in candid and studio settings.
–Strong organizational skills and ability to navigate many projects at one time.
–Genuine interest in academic mission of the university, passion for higher education, and ability to work with young people.
–Works effectively and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a creative team.
–Creative, flexible, and collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills.  Must enjoy and be comfortable working with a wide range of people, and be sensitive and thoughtful in approaching projects and subjects.
–Ability to respectfully work, communicate and provide leadership within a diverse campus community
