Resume
PERSONAL PROFILE
Creativity is the jumping-off point for everything involved in my life. From early childhood drawings to a career as a graphic designer, the guiding principle has been the same—to envision and develop the potential impact a well-executed design can create. Major strengths involve understanding the core message of a client and fulfilling that message in a dynamic and creative fashion. Having achieved national recognition for my design work is a source of pride. The search continues for a company/organization that is passionate about great design.

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
GIOIOSA DESIGN
2002-present Principal/Creative Director
The decision to start a graphic design studio was a difficult one. At the time, the economy was not doing great; but after many years of working in an industry specific advertising agency, it was time to develop and implement a new and unique vision of my own. The opportunity to expand my client base into new fields of interest such as the arts, the environment and the world of non-profits was an enticing and key factor in the decision to start a new entity. The challenge of starting a design studio was extremely exciting and daunting at the same time. Taking the leap in December 2002, Gioiosa Design was born. Starting with one client, growth took time, but along the way, Gioiosa Design found its’ footing and began to grow at a consistent pace. Today, our award-winning studio creates exciting designs for companies and organizations across a broad spectrum. Our original creative vision has been met; the sense of achievement along with the goal of client satisfaction continues to motivate us.

Work includes various projects for Massachusetts Audubon Society, Cambridge Family & Children’s Service, Caritas Communities, Nantucket Land Council, The House of the Seven Gables and Zoo New England.

LOWE GROB HEALTH & SCIENCE
1987-2002 Senior Art Director/Design Director
Joining a small advertising agency in Salem, MA was a wonderful opportunity for a young designer. To be part of a growing agency and enjoying the benefits of honing design skills in a structured setting was a perfect fit. The early years of growth with the company allowed me to excel in my abilities as a Junior Designer thus propelling me to a senior position with expanded responsibilities. As a Senior Art Director/Design Director, managing all design projects was the daily mandate. This included working on concepts, design execution, production, photography and overseeing the printing to ensure the highest quality product for our clients. Additionally, special attention was also given to client and team expectations, timing and budget. Projects included all print media and website design. In the position, I developed the skills and experience to take a project from client concept to a fully developed campaign with a high quality end product.

Work includes various projects for Boston Scientific Corporation, C.R. Bard, Inc, Chiron Diagnostics, Waters Corporation, Welch Foods and Zoll Medical Corporation.
