I am a freelance graphic designer/illustrator with over 20 years of experience primarily in the non-profit markets. I have designed a wide range of marketing materials including identity systems and brand marketing, annual reports, brochures, newsletters, invitations, logos, packaging/signage, banners and ads.

Projects include: annual reports, identity programs, logos, collateral brochures and direct marketing materials for non-profits as well as business to consumer, retail displays, signage, packaging, retail products, and web applications. 
• Create effective design and illustration solutions for a wide variety of clients, primarily designing for print with expanding growth in web and web animation. Working directly with clients in assessing marketing goals, developing design solutions and maintaining brand identities.
• Design and manage multiple projects simultaneously within budgets and schedules, from initial concepts through final production and press checks. 
• Provide art direction and coordination of photographers, printers, and other creative service vendors. 
• Manage and run day-to-day business operations including sales/promotion, equipment purchasing, record keeping, hiring of outside vendors, as well as all aspects of creative design/direction.
• Create illustrations in traditional and Mac applications, including: signage, packaging, books, magazines, and t-shirts.

3. Senior Designer/Illustrator, The University of Chicago Printing Services (1988-1995)

Produced over 150 printed pieces annually including: brochures, catalogs, annual reports, identity programs, campaign fund raising materials, book design and logos.
• Provided art direction and coordination of in-house staff, photographers, illustrators and vendors to produce high profile marketing and recruiting materials for the University and the Medical Center. 
• Worked directly with clients in assessing their design needs. 
• Designed and managed multiple projects simultaneously within budgets and schedules, from initial concept through final production, including reviewing printers proofs and checking jobs on press.
• Created illustrations in traditional and Mac applications, including: spot, medical/technical, and cartooning.

• Designed various marketing materials for hospital departments. Created graphics for medical publications. Designed and constructed exhibit displays for medical trade shows.
