EXPERIENCE
Creative Specialist | Mental Health Partners of Colorado | Boulder, CO
The Colorado Spirit Crisis Counseling Program (CCP), became an additional part of Mental Health Partners existing outreach team during Covid-19. The goal was to provide specific education on coping strategies to reduce stress, anxiety and other mental health issues that had resulted from or been heightened by the pandemic.
In the first stages of the CCP, I designed the CCP’s brand identity and all supporting visual style elements approved for use with the brand – print and digital. Upon launch of the newly designed CCP brand, I designed and distributed a digital CCP Brand Style Guidelines PDF document to the organization. The purpose was to invite, engage and educate the staff with the new brand.
Next, I created and implemented a file naming and filing system for the CCP’s program assets. I then, managed and continually updated the program’s digital asset library and available printed materials to ensure all outgoing items used were the most current.
Ways I connected with the community through my designs include, templates and ongoing designs for our educational flyers and information sheets, printed and digital advertisements, social media post designs, monthly event calendars, employee bio sheets, branded initiatives with incentives, rack cards, brochures and large scale multi media presentations.
I also worked side-by-side with our Digital Outreach Worker and Social Media Specialist. Together, we explored ways to utilize online channels to create additional support for the communities. We collaborated daily for the creation and production of ZOOM Events, Facebook posts, live streaming events and launched a CCP YouTube channel providing new and updated information in relation to the pandemic on a weekly basis.
Contract Graphic Designer | Xcel Energy | Denver, CO
Collaborated daily with a power-house, design team of six. Together, we provided creative for Xcel Energy’s strategic communications, marketing, advertising and human resources departments. Project responsibilities include designing and producing interactive PDFs and forms, utilizing exceptional organization skills to manage and design 50-150 advertising bill inserts across 5 regions on monthly basis. Produced direct mailers, door hangers, marketing sales sheets, information sheets, case studies, information booklets, brochures and promotional items.
In both 2015 and 2018, I was part of Xcel Energy’s introduction of new branding campaigns to the public. Our team worked vigorously in-house to update all company branded design templates and key files, while still meeting our ongoing daily project deadlines. Going through these re-brands as a designer for Xcel Energy has greatly expanded my knowledge and understanding of all components necessary for a successful corporate brand launch and execution.
Graphic Designer | WellDyne | Centennial, CO
Collaborated with account managers composing powerful multi-media presentations and various printed and digital materials to enhance their communication efforts and meet their project and sales goals.
Ensured all outgoing graphics complied with brand guidelines established for WellDyne and its eight lines of business. In addition to re-purposing the brands for various projects, produced custom designs for our clients and all internal needs. As well, I managed projects and workflow for our hired freelance designers as needed.
In addition, I maintained and updated internal and external files available for use and distribution on the company server, as well as MarcomCentral, an online portal accessible to WellDyne staff, outside vendors and clients for creation of personalized business cards, information sheets, bio sheets, advertising needs.
Digital Designer | Pure Strategic Solutions | Boulder, CO
As the first employee for Pure Strategic Solutions, a digital agency on the horizon, I dove in and helped build a dynamic team of five. Each of us specialized in our own areas of expertise and cross collaborated daily. Therefore, I not only gained an amazing set of digital design skills, but too, a more strategy focused, social media aware mind-set.
I was responsible for creative concept, design and execution of web, mobile, e-commerce and social media graphics. Understanding the limitations in going from concept to a live product, worked closely with developers to create the optimal user experience.
In addition to graphic support, composed creative copy for our clients’ marketing needs on items, such as feature sliders, up sells, online advertising and social media promotions.
Art Director | The Creative Consortium | Denver, CO
Provided graphic design support to the Creative Consortium, a small yet powerful group of women in Colorado. Together we provided award-winning, public relations and marketing services to a variety of clients in the healthcare industry.
In 2008, The Creative Consortium combined forces with Porter Hospital of Colorado to acquaint their existing and new patients on the $110 million dollar expansion and renovation that began in 2007. Together, we produced conceptual content for best suited communication materials and media channels, such as large branding campaigns, various printed and digital collateral print/digital ads, supporting web graphics, outdoor boards, banners and more.
Art Director | Media News Group | Denver, CO
Metro Mountain Media was a division of the Denver Newspaper Agency that focused on magazine publications. As the art director, supporting the Creative Director, we worked together to concept, design and launch five magazines brands and their accompanying websites.
While managing two designers for design and production, I also designed and art directed spec and actual ads to be placed in the publications for our sales team in a timely and budget conscious manner.
In addition, I redesigned Metro Mountain Media’s brand, including logo, media kits, collateral and print/web ads. After the launch, monitored the usage and application of the brand to ensure consistency.
