I currently manage a 4-person design team that produces all of the ad, marketing, social media and internal communications artwork for the St. Louis County Library system. I focus on keeping all materials on-brand; managing the group's workload; and trying to encourage my team to promote the library's community-focused reputation in new ways each day.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Art Director: St. Louis County Library, St. Louis, MO (2015–Present)
Lead a 4-member in-house design team that produces all marketing materials for the 20-branch library system, ensuring the work is on target for the various markets the library serves. 
Increase production efficiency and effectiveness through the development of branded templates and a refined visual identity system. 
Successfully expand the creative department’s capabilities across print, digital and environmental design formats.
Liaise with library branch leadership and programming departments to assess and fulfill branding needs for an expanding set of community engagement initiatives.
Support the library’s development and business initiatives, such as the ongoing Your Library Renewed building campaign, through the creation of high-profile proposal materials.
Collaborate with web development, architecture and signage fabrication agencies to align their efforts with the library system’s community-focused goals and budget.

Graphic Designer: St. Louis County Library, St. Louis, MO (2013–2015)
Create new branding for a wide range of library programs and departments that complements overall library brand standards.
Senior-level responsibilities include managing budgets, evolving branding standards, developing vendor relationships and mentoring junior designers.
Develop innovative assets to promote library programs across multiple channels including print, social media, web, architectural signage, way finding systems and vehicle wraps.
Realign other marketing collateral into a more unified brand standard.

Graphic Designer: (contract) Edward Jones, St. Louis, MO (2010–2012)
Synchronized marketing materials for internal and client audiences with new national advertising.
Created visualization charts and tools for internal and client-facing needs.
