Fernando was born the youngest of four brothers in the South American Andes. Raised by his mother, a fashion manufacturing designer, he remembers his early schooling as being fun. "Every class was an opportunity to draw all kinds of topics. It worked well for his art classes (where he received top scores), but the material in the other classes was somewhat lost on him. "Painting and drawing were in my blood and forced their way to the white surface ", he explains. "I would get most thrilled when my head started to feel like it spun in every direction trying to produce just the right visual impression."
As early as age seven, Fernando would tirelessly wander the museums, absorbing the displayed works and committing them to memory. His attempts were remarkably successful. In 1968, he was offered to sell one of the replica he had brought to the museum to compare to the original. It looked like a faithful print. While he was principally inspired by the great artists of the European Renaissance, he quickly developed his own style and voice and continued his developments as a self-taught artist.
At age sixteen, our artist decided to try to market his talent in the U.S.A., a variety of works for a living: portraits, landscapes, murals, poster, book covers, movie billboards, and the park entertainment industry.
Fernando designed his first book cover for Susan lipper, M.S. "Nurturing Our Children to Succeed.
Shark Rider was published as a poster by Verkerke Switzerland and distributed worldwide.
In 1994,  He designed several theme parks for AVG Inc., Star Patrol, The Last Dinosaur Kingdom, Amazon Jungle. 
From 1995, he designed theme parks for Garner Holt Productions; Everland Flower Fountain, Pirates Cove Raft Cruise, Raptor attacking caravan vehicle, T/Rex Attacks caravan.
His first puzzle was published by SCHMID, Paradise Garden, and his second puzzle Bon' Appetit by SunsOut.
