Tech Data Corporation – Clearwater, Florida.
Marketing Services Organization.
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, Graphic Design.
Part of a team of outstanding art directors whose objective is to support the strategic goals of Tech Data, primarily in thorough marketing research, copy initiatives, web designs, and print designs for all of its vendors and marketing programs. I maintained the highest level of creativity and innovation, working in close cooperation with account managers, traffic and production managers, and back-up designers, always exceeding the customer’s expectations.

As the Creative Services Network Administrator, a Mac platform with two servers, eight workstations and a color proofing system, I performed the day to day trouble-shooting and maintenance of work-stations to avoid loss of productivity. I maintained daily and monthly back-ups, calibrated printer and monitors for accurate color reproduction, negotiated the maintenance contract with an outside vendor, and trained other designers on trouble shooting techniques. Set up an image library system on the Tech Data Intranet, to be shared with Tech Data’s Worldwide Marketing Organization.

I continually interviewed, recommended, and managed freelance artists and photographers to balance the workload in Creative Services. Interviewed personnel for graphic artist positions in Creative Services, giving positive feedback to the interviewees as well as the Creative Services Manager. Trained all those hired, who became excellent assets for the company.

Proficient in the use and tutoring of InDesign, QuarkXpress, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as other support software on the Mac. Equally proficient with Windows platform.

Effectively participated with the team of designers and copywriters in the development and implementation of guidelines for Tech Data’s corporate identity in the form of the Visual Identity Manual, including graphic design, composition, layout, typography, color usage etc.
