Professional Experience
1/2004 to Present: Freelance Graphic Designer
Cultivating new accounts while simultaneously managing the marketing and communications needs of existing clients is a crucial function for my business. For the last thirteen years, I have designed numerous publications, promotional items, marketing materials and websites for a wide range of companies, organizations and individuals that offer very diverse products and services. I ensure effective messaging across multiple formats by maintaining a close, consultative relationship with all of my clients at all stages of the production process.

11/2015 to 1/2017: Manager, Graphic Design, Macy's
Previously, I managed a large percentage of the in-store signage and environmental graphics for Macy's nationwide. I worked closely with senior executives, creative directors and other visual merchandising professionals in the Home, Ready To Wear, Windows, Gifting and Lease departments, and also lent my expertise to storewide marketing campaigns.

7/2014 to 10/2015: Graphic Designer, Eastdil Secured
While working at Eastdil Secured, I was responsible for managing the graphic execution of new business initiatives, as well as the sales and marketing materials for iconic office buildings, luxury hotels and resorts and numerous other commercial properties totaling billions of dollars in gross sales. On a daily basis, I worked closely with deal managers, financial analysts, marketing professionals and production team members across the firm.

8/2006 to 2/2013: Senior Graphic Designer, Krames StayWell
At Krames StayWell, I managed numerous projects for multiple accounts that represented millions of dollars in annual revenue. Client presentations of newly designed or redesigned products to key decision makers were a major part of my job, as were quarterly issue planning and brainstorming sessions. Internally, I was tasked with testing new hardware and software programs prior to company wide rollouts, as well as writing training materials and providing my peers with training and support.

1/2006 to 7/2006: Graphic Designer/Production Coordinator, Phillips de Pury & Company
Coordination and teamwork were imperative to the successful completion of all projects at Phillips de Pury & Company. Multiple auctions with overlapping timelines in different cities around the world kept the production pipeline filled. In addition to designing high-end auction catalogs, advertisements and marketing collateral, I trafficked all images between photographers, retouchers and printers. I also ordered and received additional deliverables from vendors and supervised freelancers as needed.

6/1996 to 1/2004: Freelance Video, Audio and Lighting Technician
Major television networks and numerous independent production companies hired me to wrangle gear, people and muppets up and down the east coast of the United States. On any given day, I scouted locations, handled permit requests and managed the logistics and operation of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment. My clients ranged from Sesame Street and MTV to large corporations and financial institutions and all of them required professionalism and keen attention to detail in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.

6/1996 to 1/2004: Freelance Photographer
As a professional photographer, I marketed my services to musicians, record labels, newspapers and magazines. In addition to scheduling studio and location sessions, I liaised with managers and publicists to secure access to live events. I also researched and ordered rental equipment, purchased film and expendables, hired assistants as needed and performed quality control checks at various film processing labs.

9/1995 to 6/1996: Publicity Assistant, Atlantic Records
During my time at Atlantic Records, I facilitated artist interviews with regional and national media outlets, ordered and managed our inventory of promotional materials for press mailings and maintained the media contact database. I also organized the charitable donation of excess promotional items such as advance cassettes and CDs and autographed publicity photographs. Prior to my tenure at Atlantic, these items were simply discarded and I recognized an opportunity to simultaneously reduce waste and give back to the community.
