Design Internship/"Second Life" Program
Common Thread Collective
We’re looking for individuals who have a background in design. Maybe you’re currently enrolled in a design school? Maybe you’re a self-taught designer? Maybe you’re a working professional looking for a change? No matter where you’re at in your creative career, if you are looking to learn what it means to be a designer at CTC and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team friendly environment, then this internship program will be perfect for you!

Do you weirdly love the internet, graphic design for social media and the idea of helping people to discover rad products? Do you have a passion for learning the ins and outs of what we do here at CTC? Get the most comprehensive real-world learning opportunity in this relatively new space of putting together Facebook Advertising, Digital Sales and Creative Design.

This internship program will be a Design Specific program, intended to develop the skills of graphic design, animation, ad creation, web design and creative strategy.

Come join us this spring as an intern!

We will not look at your resume. We do not care what your grades were in school. We want to see your effort and interest in getting into the nuts and bolts of what we do here at CTC.

Consider this your opportunity to get involved in a new and growing industry— the success rate for our interns becoming full-time employees is very high! (We’ve offered 100% of our previous interns full-time roles)

We have four internship opportunities – Beginning on April 8th, spend 12 weeks working with our Creative Departments and Media Buying Departments. You’ll spend 1 week at a time in each team, and then a weekly rotation with each Media Buying where you can put your newly developed skills to work.

This is a full-time, on-site, and paid internship at our Newport Beach offices, with some work at our Content offices in Oceanside.

Program Requirements – This program is intended to develop a well rounded set of skills to think and design like a marketer, thus basic technical skills in the following applications are highly suggested (Mac OS, Adobe Suite: Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator…). You will be designing with your own equipment and this *is not* a remote program because we believe in the locker room environment is where team members gameplan together.

Send your website portfolio link or examples of work with a resume and cover letter and join us for a group interview on Friday, March 22 from 4:30-5:30pm at our Newport Beach office.
