Who we’re looking for…

RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Theatrical & Development Intern.

About the role…

Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Theatre Ventures, the Theatrical & Development Intern will provide general support by assisting in the daily operations of the Theatrical & Development Department.

What’s expected…

The Theatrical & Development Intern will assist in the daily operation of the department. Daily tasks may include the following:

-Assist with research for new and existing projects.
-Provide general support for readings, workshops, and developmental labs.
-Assist with project proposals and presentations.
-Organize script and project submissions.
-Assist with pre-screening new script and project submissions.
-Continually update contact sheets and general show files with the most up-to-date information as it is received from all sources.
-Assist in the timely and accurate flow of information in/out of the department to all internal and external players.
-Assist with contracts and payroll processing.
-Document office procedures and policies as necessary.
-Provide timely communication with internal and external players.
-Schedule and coordinate meetings with high level writers, agents, and producing partners.
-Provide general administrative support as requested.

What you bring…

-Strong interest/experience in live theatre, preferably in theatrical producing, management and/or development
-Advanced written and verbal English communication skills
-Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
-Outgoing personality, outstanding demeanor and ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
-Self-starter, positive attitude, loyalty, passion, integrity, discretion

The deal…

-Work five (5) full business days per week
-Office hours are 10am-6pm
-Stipend and MetroCard or college credit
-Starting August and running through November/December 2019
