Graphic Designer (Associate I, Creative)

Position Overview
The Pew Charitable Trusts seeks an associate I, creative for the Communications department. This role reports to the associate manager, creative, and is responsible for producing visual solutions for the communications needs of the organization in both print and online. He/she applies artistic sensibility, technical skills, communications and problem-solving abilities to advance research and advocacy goals. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively and effectively across a variety of teams and projects with unique topics and objectives.
•	Produce practical, user-centric design solutions that enhance and amplify our public education and campaign efforts.
•	Partner with digital and creative team to conceptualize creative solutions for a wide variety of projects from initial ideation through execution and optimization.
•	Work collaboratively to manage multiple projects and timelines at once.
•	Employ a thorough understanding of branding and apply design sensibilities to create visually engaging content across a wide variety of digital channels.
•	Produce a wide range of media, including print, web, social, advertising, and multimedia.
•	Continue to learn, adapt and adopt new techniques to produce creative results.
•	Maintain knowledge of creative marketing trends and best practices.
Job Requirements
•	Bachelors degree in graphic arts or related field required.
•	At least one year of relevant professional experience is required. Agency and client service experience preferred.
•	Strong understanding of modern design requirements and best practices across all digital and mobile channels.
•	A strong working knowledge of cross-channel digital design principles, experience design, brand development, and the relevant creative processes required to deliver an effective mix of digital content.
•	Must be proficient in print production, layout, and web design
•	Experience working with data to identify insights that lead to effective digital content for a variety of channels and formats.
•	Experience working with creative teams to concept, storyboard, produce, and optimize a wide array of digital content.
•	Demonstrated experience working with strategy, creative, and advertising teams to plan and execute multi-channel paid programs strongly preferred.
•	Ability to articulate and defend creative ideas but also able and willing to accept feedback.
•	Experience with GIS and creating maps from data strongly preferred.
•	Experience with wire-framing and prototyping tools and related design approaches and workflows strongly preferred.
•	Strong knowledge of major design applications, especially Adobe applications.
Please Note: This is a visual design position. While knowledge of relevant interactive technologies from a design perspective is a requirement, this is not a programmer or developer position.
