Place Creative Company is looking for a full-time Web Developer + Designer who can combine their expert technical skills, strong graphic design eye and creative, solution-based mind to join our team.

You should have experience in building beautiful, functional, accessible and secure websites, but also have the ability to expand on website designs created by our design team. 

Strong Design Eye + Skill:  While the development/programming of websites and other digitally-focused projects will be a primary responsibility, your ability to keep designs consistent and on-brand will be equally as important.
Ability to Multitask:  Projects aren’t always handled one at a time—you will need to be able to juggle multiple projects without missing deadlines.
Problem-solving Capabilities:  Websites need to be functional as well as attractive, and clients’ needs can bring up unique challenges. Being able to figure out how to translate design vision to a functional website is a critical skill.
Efficient Communication Skills:  Both within the Place team, and directly with clients. Whether in-person, via phone, zoom, chat or email, clear and professional is key to how we work.
Expertise Under Pressure:  No day is the same—whether it’s a tight deadline or mid-project curveball, professionally handling the pressures of fast-paced creative challenges is a must. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will work closely with Account Managers, Art Directors and our Web Development Director to ensure projects stay on track and follow budgets, scope and design. You will also be responsible for:
A high degree of independent judgment and ability to solve complex problems
Troubleshooting website/digital problems
Maintaining and updating current websites
Keeping solid communications open with both team members and clients
Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
2-5 years of experience in designing and developing websites 
Bachelor’s degree in web design/development, multimedia design, related field 
or relevant, real-world experience
Knowledge of programming languages and technical terminology

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services, such as APIs, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, security principles, REST,  and web user interface design (UI)
Knowledgeable in WCAG compliance and website accessibility
Proficiency with content management systems, including WordPress
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD)
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Staying up-to-date on the ever changing world of technology
