Job Summary
The Product Development Assistant supports the product development team by managing daily production tasks, coordinating with vendors, and assisting with sample reviews and approvals. This role ensures accurate data management in NetSuite, maintains timelines, and helps drive efficient product development and production processes while upholding quality standards.
Essential Functions
Follow up daily with vendors on sample submissions, approvals, and production timelines; update WIP reports.
Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of samples and components.
Assist in sample review: opening, measuring, comparing to standards, and providing feedback.
Support packaging and labeling approvals to meet production schedules.
Maintain and update label guides for domestic and international markets.
Assist in creating and updating tech packs, BOMs, and testing requirements.
Coordinate product testing to ensure compliance with standards.
Enter and maintain product data, pricing, and dimensions in NetSuite.
Partner with internal teams to ensure complete and timely project handoffs.
Act as liaison between internal teams and vendors to resolve issues.
Maintain libraries for fabrics, trims, labels, and packaging.
Support quality issue resolution with PD, Quality, and factory teams.
Assist with invoices, PO creation, and coordination with Finance for payments.
Support product lifecycle management, including cost analysis and vendor coordination.

Skills
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/PLM experience preferred
Adobe Illustrator experience required
Basic understanding of textiles, packaging, and product lifecycle (preferred)
Familiarity with quality standards and product testing
Strong aesthetic sense and interest in product innovation
Minimum Requirements
18+ years old
HS Diploma or GED
Authorized to work in the U.S.
English proficiency
Successful background check
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s (or Associate’s/experience) in Textiles, Merchandising, Fashion, or related field
Experience working with domestic and international vendors
