JOB SUMMARY: Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of graphic design duties.
•	Develops professional packaging mechanicals and layouts for Company publications.
•	Creates professional designs and  layouts  for  promotional  materials  including  direct  mailings,  handouts, advertisements, lobby posters, signs, commercial logos, and other visual layouts.
•	Creates layouts and designs for specific product brochures.
•	Determines style, technique, and medium best suited to product promotion strategies.
•	Performs typesetting for forms and publications.
•	Maintains and conforms to product graphic standards.
•	Creates high-quality comps and samples and directs vendors when necessary to provide same.
•	Ensures that graphic design activities and written materials support the image and vision of the marketing plan, as well as conform to regulatory, legal, and other standards.


QUALIFICATIONS:  	
•	Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, art, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:	
•	Proficient in graphic design and publishing software. Illustrator 80%, Photoshop 15%, InDesign 5%
•	Understanding of pre-press processes  including  color  techniques,  digital  file  formats, document set-up, typesetting rules, and printing options and techniques.
•	Knowledge of  commercial  and  fine  art  illustrations,  digital  image  editing,  and  website design.
•	Knowledge of principles and techniques of graphic drawing and photography. Ability to create high quality comps and samples as needed.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:	
•	Two to three years of experience in graphic design or related area.
