EXPERIENCE:

Commissions and art sales:
Taking commissions involves listening to the client in order to grasp what kinds of results they are looking for. It also involves creating multiple drafts for the client so that they may have a few variations of the designs/piece to choose from. One should always ask their client questions to ensure the product turns out as they had envisioned.

When I sell art, it is often the result of someone viewing my Instagram or Facebook posts. If a viewer resonates with a piece and the story behind it, they are more likely to purchase an original painting or print. For artists, writing an effective and compelling story is often just as important as the piece itself.

NOMINATED FOR ARTIES AT UNIVERSITY:
At my university, the art professors will nominate the top students in their respective fields to receive an "ARTIE of the Year" award. I have been nominated to be a candidate every year since I started University.

FARMERS MARKET (2019-2024):
This involves me working with customers and catering to certain special requests when necessary. I have learned that in order to sell a product, one cannot simply stand at the booth and expect people to come flocking. One must be bold and call to people while being proactive by describing the products. I sell baked goods at the Farmers Market and we were able to gain a number of returning customers through our efforts.

GROUNDS CREW(2023-2024):
For this job, I learned how to take initiative on tasks that needed to be completed when our boss wasn't around to instruct me. I also realized that it is important to be considerate of fellow workers because everyone is frustrated and tired when the weather gets hot. For the job, I was required to weed flower beds, learn how to operate large vehicles, and take on various odd jobs.

MOST BEAUTIFUL ART NOUVEAU POSTER IN CLASS:
In design history class, 31 students including myself were asked to create an art nouveau poster. The posters were then ranked anonymously to decide whose was the most beautiful and my piece was selected.
